in Romania
The ISTROS Society for Historical Sciences is mainly based in Bucharest, having branches in all the former historical regions of Romania (Transylvania, Banat, Moldova, Dobrogea, Muntenia and Oltenia). Our members are available to give guidance and facilitate the access of visiting scholars to the main academic institutions and libraries in Bucharest (such as the University of Bucharest and its main Faculties, the Romanian Academy or the “Vasile Parvan” Institute of Archaeology, with each of their own libraries, the National Library to name a few). Moreover, active members of ISTROS can be found in Cluj-Napoca, Iasi, Timisoara or Constanta who might help scholars find what they need and get in contact with the Universities, libraries, main museums or research institutes from those academic centers.
