The project „Nicolaus Olahus – Conecting History” proposes a series of itinerant lectures through the most prestigious Romanian university centers, meant to connect the history from this part of Europe with nowadays scientific world.

The “ISTROS” Society for Historical Sciences, the Romanian representative of the American Institute of Southeast Europeans Studies (AISEES), invites you to take part in the first edition of the “Nicolaus Olahus – Connecting History” series of lectures. Our partner for this edition is the University of Bucharest, The Faculty of History, through the Center for Compared History of Ancient Societies. Together with them, we propose to listen to our two lectures on Wednesday, 15 December 2021, 6.00 PM (EEST):

18.00. Dr. Alexandra Clara Țârlea, Lecturer of the Department of Ancient History, Archaeology and History of Art, Faculty of History, within the University of Bucharest, with the lecture Fragile, yet resilient. Ancient glass in the archaeological record from Dobrudja (Romania)

18.40. Dr. Tomasz Gralak, Assistant Professor, Institute of Archaeology, University of Wrocław, with the lecture From the Balkans to Central Europe – wandering of things, ideas, and people in the Early Iron Age. Northern perspective.
