The “ISTROS” Society for Historical Studies is interested in taking part in projects that focus on promoting and preserving the material and immaterial, historical and archaeological heritage of Southeastern Europe. We are interested in the research and raising the academic awareness of the local knowledge and historical artifacts in international conferences and scientific symposiums. We look forward to developing historical and archaeological summer schools, targeted on the professional development of specialists in the field but also on a larger audience, passionate and interested in history and archaeology. Another important objective of ours is taking part in field research on the archaeological sites of the region. We are also invested in creating editorial projects, as the one that is meant to publish our annual journal together with our main partner, which we are proudly representing in Romania, the American Institute for Southeast European Studies (AISEES).
Until now, we had the pleasure to take part in several important research projects, each in different stages of development, alongside our partners.
