The “ISTROS” Society for Historical Sciences, the Romanian representative of the American Institute of Southeast Europeans Studies (AISEES), invites you to take part in the second edition of the “Nicolaus Olahus – Connecting History” series of lectures, which is dedicated to the memory of University Professor emerita Doina Benea, three years since her disappearance.

Our partner and host institution for the edition held on Wednesday, 16 March, 18.00 (EEST) is the Center for Studies of history and Archaeology “Constantin Daicoviciu”, affiliated with the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, West University, Timișoara. Our guests for the evening are as follows:

18.00. Dr. Eric C. De Sena, member of the History faculties of both Manhattanville College and Manhattan College, with the lecture The Porolissum Forum Project: East meets West, and

19.0. Dr. Andrei Stavilă, University Assistant of the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology, West University of Timișoara, with the lecture „Diversity in Uniformity”. The Bronze Age Tell Settlements in the Romanian Banat and in the Lower Mureș Basin.
