
The “ISTROS” Society for Historical Sciences, the Romanian representative of the American Institute of Southeast Europeans Studies (AISEES), invites you to take part in the third edition of the “Nicolaus Olahus – Connecting History” series of lectures. Our partner and host institution for the edition held on Tuesday, 12 April, 18.00 (EEST) is the Faculty of History and Philosophy of the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. Our guests for the evening are as follows:
18.00: Dr. Florin Curta, Professor in the Department of History of Florida University, with the lecture “Did (all) the Avars Perish? A View from Eastern Europe”, and
19.00: Dr. Sorin Nemeti, Professor in the Department of Ancient History and Archaeology of the Faculty of History and Philosophy, within the Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, with the lecture “The Roman Fortress from Potaissa (Dacia). From Ancient to Modern Times”.
